Venus et La Lune is a sort of modern French inspired ‘salon’, a revival of the cultural and intellectual gatherings that started in Renaissance Europe, but with a heavy romantic twist.
About Zoë
I have always been drawn to beauty, art, and depth. I like to think my name, Zoë Isabella, predestined me to an existence focussed on pursing beauty and art in all of its forms and pulls me towards the greater themes surrounding human consciousness, philosophy, and spiritual traditions.
Zoë, which is Greek for life, and Isabella which means ‘pledged to God’ or when shortened, beautiful, pretty much sums up what I feel passionate about.
As a young adult with a 9 to 5 in a completely unrelated space, I started Venus et La Lune not only as an avenue for writing, but to start conversations, share explorations and musings, and describe my journey of attempting to curate a life around the values of art, beauty, culture, history, and tradition.
My hunch is that others are also looking for more depth and beauty, and are seeking to live a life different from the ordinary of what we’ve been sold too.
